Download Older SnagIt for Free – Get New Version for Half Price

SnagIt is one of my favourite programs – it’s on all day, every day, and I use it all the time for screenshots.  You can do many magic things with it, such as:

  • copy part of your screen for easy pasting into another program
  • add stuff to any screenshot, e.g., callouts, text boxes, shapes, etc.
  • do image processing such as fancy borders, blurring, etc.
  • save duly-processed image to your computer, bring it into your clipboard for easy pasting, save it to an FTP site, etc.
  • capture in weird in wacky ways, e.g., a particular area of your screen (exact coordinates) so you can capture the same area over and over, scrolling windows, menu items, etc.

And this is just scratching the surface!

    Awesome – I’ve been dealing with an older version because I didn’t want to pay $40 for an upgrade, but I’ll pay $20. I want the Save to PDF feature it now offers….

    This looks interesting. I’ve done a lot of pressing the print screen/chopping images in the past so this could make my life easier. Thanks for pointing it out!

    I’ve used Snagit for several years beginning with version 3,I think. It is one of my main tools for docs when I have to grab and work with graphics. I using version 8.0 now and will keep upgrading as long as it is around.

    I read your note on clipmate and like the idea of keeping clip history and not sure if Snagit can do that automatically but that would be nice.
