Quel surprise!  I’ve just found out that GTD Wannabe made a top 100 blog list.  I’m thrilled, especially considering how poor I’ve been at blogging lately.  (Those of you who are interested should be happy to know that my implementation is basically “done”, and I’m just sitting down tonight to brainstorm a couple of conference papers.  Woot!)

Anyway, if you’re looking for something new to read, check out the full list.  I’ve skimmed it and some of my favourites are there, but there’s some new stuff to peruse too.

I was surprised and happy to read a few lines from you. So what did you end up using for your implementation. I’ve been on Vitalist for –maybe a year now– and today, for unknown reasons, I downloaded the latest omnifocus. There I go again wasting time. I have also been using a junior circa notebook to carry around with me and capture anything, and the pages are flying around before info gets into my “trusted system” so I am about to switch back to a moleskin again. I can’t imagine why I am thinking about omnifocus, but probably because my vitalist is getting stale and I’m avoiding the work of going through it, with a serious review, and dealing with it.

My main question: Did you get your mac? Some of us miss hearing from you more often, glad to see you today.

Hi GTD Wanabee,
I’ve been reading your blog for quite some time, but I have to say I’ve been waiting for quite some time your next post! Thanks, and congrats!
By the way, beside being one of your readers, I’m also French, may I suggest you to make a slight correction to your post: the right spelling in French is “Quelle surprise !” and not “Quel suprise!” (you’ll also notice the space character before the exclamation mark) ;)
Please tell us more about your implementation!
Cheers /jerome

@jerome: Well, colour me embarrassed. There’s goes my four years of French immersion. Can you tell I haven’t spoken it in a few years!

@Dan

Well, Dan, I’m so swamped with research these days that I haven’t actually been doing any coveting of other GTD applications. (I also haven’t been very faithful with the weekly review, but my main task is “finish thesis”, so it’s hard to lose track.)

I did look at the website for a second, but it seems to be an online application. I’m extremely gun-shy about those right now. After seeing what’s happening with my beloved EverNote and the new Evernote 3 beta, I have no desire to deal with any online application, except maybe my mail and feeds.
